Kleshay

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kleshay were an all female British R&B trio from the 1990's who had two top 40 hits. Their first track was "Reasons", reaching number 33 in 1998, this got them onto Trevor Nelson's the lick pick of the week. The girls' second single, "Rush", was even more successful in the Top 20 and peaked at number 19, and thus they appeared on many different TV shows to promote the track including MTV's Select and SMTV Live. Sadly the track fell to number 40 in only its second week and the band were dropped by Jerv Records since they hoped for a top 10 hit.

The band then went their separate ways, Alani Gibbon became a duo with cousin ex-Honeyz member Celena Cherry called "Anotherside". Candace Cherry provided backing vocals for a while for some established artists, and Leah Charles became an award winning tv presenter.
