[edit] Plot
Emily Brown (Bishop) is a kleptomanic. As with most kleptomaniacs, the real reason behind her shoplifting is much more deeply rooted. Her mother is a compulsive shopper and her father is in jail. She goes to therapy to try and resolve her compulsion. One day a security guard named Nick (Garcia) catches her stealing at a department store that he works at. As a former criminal, he is impressed by the ease with which she shoplifts. Rather than turn her in he convinces her to go out with him. The two form an unlikely relationship, and when Nick is fired, they plan to rob the store together.
