[edit] Image:Orwell.jpg
Hello Klaser, i noticed you uploaded a photograph of George Orwell, however i doubt that it's properly licensed. First: the page you got it from is licensed under a Noncommercial Creative Commons license (which is not possible on Wikipedia), and second, i don't think the photograph is the property of that particular library (i've seen it all over the internet). The image might be Public Domain in Australia, because they have a copyright time of fifty years, but it isn't in many other countries. I've removed the image from the article and put it on Wikipedia:Possible_copyright_infringements. Thanks. Husky 23:00, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use debate regarding television screencaps
Currently, there is a debate on Talk:List of Lost episodes regarding whether or not use of a 1/30th stillframe visual excerpt next to a list of audiovisual works (such as List of Lost episodes or List of Stargate episodes) is in accordance with WP:Fair use, and has even resulted in the protection of the page.
If you have any opinions regarding fair use on the List of Lost episodes page, please feel free to express them as I believe these two pages are sister projects.

[edit] Weasel word
I see that you read my edit summary, but I don't think you comprehended it. There is nothing wrong with ending a sentence with a preposition, and moving the preposition to the middle of the sentence isn't some sort of improvement. The new wording is awkward, which is why I reverted the original modification. Read up on it. ~MDD4696 03:07, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- I am well aware of the syntax of prepositions. What I was trying to say is that while ending a sentence with a preposition is acceptable, not ending the sentence like that is better. The new sentence is not awkward, you're just not familiar with that way of writing.--Klaser 21:55, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] External links at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
I replaced one external link that I think does contribute to the article, while leaving the other two deleted for now. However, I feel it necessary to inform/direct you to the fact that nearly all other articles on major U.S. universities contain the type of external links you have deleted. Here's is just one of many examples: Marquette University. I suggest you either attempt to make your interpretation of what is excessive and does or does not contribute to university articles' a standard, otherwise I fear these links will simply be replaced, as well as have others added, in the near future in this article. Cheers! -- CollegeSportsGuy 18:11, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- I do not have the time or effort to conform every single higher-education-related article in regards to their external links. That said, I do not beleive my apathy towards any other article serves as a counter-point to your debate. The article mentions the Panthers, but the article is also about UWM, not the Panthers. In fact, the article uses the "official" Panthers site as a reference, numerous times. Listing the site in the external links overtly redundant. The discussion board is also unnecessary as you already link to a site (assuming the Official Panthers site remains) that has to do with the Panthers, making this link also redundant. Since you seem particularly interested in the Panthers, why not make an article about the Panthers, then link to that inside the UWM article?--Klaser 04:23, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi Klasser, I thought there was a little mistake with the partition rate, and i switched blood and breath; i hope that you have time to look it over and let me know if i was right ?
