KJSL (630 AM) is a Christian talk radio station broadcasting the most powerful daytime radio signal in the St. Louis, Missouri/Illinois area in the United States.
Owned and operated by Crawford Broadcasting Company, KJSL is one of 26 radio stations owned by Crawford Broadcasting. This frequency was formerly used by KXOK (AM), the pioneer of the Top 40 radio format in the 1960s and 1970s. In the mid-1960s, KXOK became the number one Top 40 radio station in the country, with legendary DJ Johnny Rabbitt leading the way as the station's top personality. Owned by Storz Communications, notably long after the death of Todd Storz, the father of the Top 40 radio format. KXOK was changed to KJSL in June 1994 under the new ownership of Crawford Broadcasting.
KJSL is one of 12 Christian radio stations licensed to St. Louis and its metro area according to the St. Louis Journalism review study in March 2000. KJSL is consistently the only Christian station in St Louis that offers live, local programming during drive time hours. The General Manager of the station is Beth Kreminski. The Chief Board Operator for the station is Pam Bay who co-hosted the local radio program "The Connector" which ended in the summer of 2007.
Doris Canady who voices promos is also linking callers to the advertisers on both stations. Doris is the receptionist for KJSL and KSTL am stations. Cherie Richerson Is the office manager for the station and also produces and loads programming for out of market hosts.

Notable on-air personalities and talents include Bob Wells who hosts "The Bob Wells Show", with a format of news of the day: Social, Theological, and Political. Wells frequently interviews guests from the political arena, including Presidential candidates as well as local politicians. J. Bradley Young is the political consultant and also guest hosts the program. Author William J. Federer guest hosts the show during Bob's absence and frequently covers the local and national political arena. Voice over talent and writer Bryan Kreutz voices a Star Trek news segment for the Monday show and is a Co-Producer sharing the duties with traffic director Jennifer Collins. "The Bob Wells Show" is the station's most listened to local call-in talk show in the evenings during Monday through Friday. It is followed by "The Paul McGuire Show", hosted by Paul McGuire, another call-in interactive program with a Biblical world view. The syndicated show originates from KBRT, an affiliate located in Southern California.
Monday nights at 8 pm and Saturday nights at 5 pm, the station airs the "Revolution Radio Broadcast" with hosts Josh, Tom, and Melissa. This Monday night program, to help people discover who they are in Christ, was formerly hosted by Tom B. and Bill Cooley as "Searching for Truth".
"Quest for Character", hosted by Mike Dunn and Debra Peppers, airing live on Tuesday night at 8 pm, is a 1-hour program notable for having multi-talented guests and national personalities. The program is produced by the station's veteran Board operator Tom Ebers. It is directed by Ron Batoloto with Bob Sutton as the prayer pastor.
"Financial Peace" with Mark Minnella began airing regularly in 1994 and is the most listened to financial based program in the St. Louis market during the afternoon time slot. The station Chief Engineer is Rick Sewell who also does voice over work.
"Right to the Doctor" with Doctor Richard Cranwell Began airing in 2002 and airs live on Thursdays at 1 pm (CST). It Is the most listened to Local St.Louis program on health that is hosted by a licensed chiropractor in the afternoons. The program has a variety of topics dedicated to Health , Exercise, Wellness, and Nutrition airing live from the KJSL Studio.
"Sports Crusaders-Live" with Randy Curless Began airing in May 2006 and airs live on Sundays at 8 pm (CST). It is the only live local Christian St.Louis Sports program. The program has call-in interaction throughout the broadcast with local and national sports personalities. One broadcast was aired live from Ontario Canada and was a first for Sunday night programming to be aired outside the United States via a telephone link live. The program is produced by Danny Carter with Randy Curless as the executive producer himself.

"Mornings with Tim & Al" aired from 1994-2005 weekdays at 6-10am. Hosted by Al Gross and Tim Berends, the show was often pre-recorded and mixed in as a live broadcast. The hosts were on-air teachers of evangelism frequently interviewing celebrities and sharing the Gospel with them. In the Spring of 2008 Tim Berends has signed on to have his own live 1 hour program on Friday nights at 8pm (CST) titled "A million bibles for Kenya".
Debra Peppers hosted the longest running live radio program on KJSL from 1996 through May 2006 titled "Talk from the Heart", a two hour call-in interactive radio program with uplifting Christian topics. The program was produced by current KJSL Producer Pat Knox who was the lead producer for the program from July 2002 to May 2006.
In August of 1998 The St. Louis Post-Dispatch published a story relating to a controversial billboard off of a major interstate near Saint Louis titled "Hell Hates Tim and Al" with flames depicted around the edges of the billboard. KJSL posted the billboard to get the word out to the public to capture the attention of potential listeners to tune in to the program "Mornings with Tim & Al".
The station's emphasis shifted briefly towards Contemporary Christian music in April 2006 as a leading theme during the rush hour drive time as well as morning commute in an effort to draw in a broad audience . The variety of program content is geared toward Christian talk radio and the music was phased out in the afternoons playing only in the mornings and on Sundays.
