[edit] Wave field synthesis

Who exactly did you ask, the only major contributors are a sock puppet, a couple IP's and User:Oelwiki. This user seems like the major contributor (and seems to also claim the IP adresses). But hasn't been notified of anything. I am not trying to make a WP:POINT, but the article seems to be pretty vehemently WP:OR. Adam McCormick (talk) 20:59, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

hi kjoonlee, can you look again the site, i think its better now? kind regards Helmut --Oelwiki (talk) 18:24, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Korean

I've published it now at foundation:Resolution:Licensing policy/Ko. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 21:11, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure about that, you'll have to talk to Erik. Cbrown1023 talk 22:16, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Yeogang

Hello,

Yes, we designed the Yeogang logo where I am a staff teacher.

[edit] Recording medium comparison

Hi, on Recording medium comparison, you added this on 08:26, 8 July 2007: "Roughly 18 hours of playback per 10 GB, assuming an average bitrate of 128 kbps. Roughly 37 hours with 64 kbps and roughly 7 hours with 320 kbps." However, the math does not check out. I corrected the numbers but I'm wondering if it would be better to leave the page the way it is now or change the units to hours of playback per GB and adjust the numbers. What do you think? 4.242.147.41 (talk) 19:02, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Board elections 2008

Hi Kjoonlee,

The 2008 board elections will be in a few months (1 to 14 June) and the election committee is looking for people willing to translate the election pages into various languages. I noticed that you seem to be interested in Meta translations en>ko. Would you be available and interested in translating the board election pages into Korean? I'm looking for at least two people per language so no one translator feels overwhelmed, so they can mutually proofread each other and help each other out as needed, but if only one is available that is fine as well. (To get an idea of how much work is involved you can take a look at last year's election pages.)

If you are not available or are not interested, it would be nice if you could point me in the direction of users who might be interested in helping, or show them this message.

Please contact me on my Meta page (meta:User talk:Arria Belli), where you can write to me in either English, French, Spanish or Italian, whichever you feel most comfortable with.

Happy editing,

Arria Belli | parlami 14:32, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:WikipediaSignpostHead.svg

No worries. Given that Certificate is essentially a clone of Wedding Text, the SVG files look very similar, and honestly, I wouldn't be able to tell that they're slightly different without actually opening them in Inkscape. Ral315 (talk) 05:18, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Yeogang seals

안녕하세요. I helped the school design the newest version (2006) of the school logos, which are variations of the original 1970 versions. The original seals were created in-house by Yeogang, and recently by a print shop with staff contributions. It appears I do not know the details of what public domain is because the school does not want the logos to be altered or sold. Please let us know the next logical step.

Hello,

I have changed the copyright entries of the Yeogang seals to //Non-free symbol//.

Best,

-A

[edit] Because

I think the location of the pakimchi picture is unbalanced and surplus. --Appletrees (talk) 14:30, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Smith

Thanks for your kind words! I too think Smith is one of the best things Tolkien wrote, and find it very moving. (I went back and re-read the article ... and couldn't resist tinkering some more.)  Elphion (talk) 19:01, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Koala's bifurcated uterus

The reference cited does not back this up, unless I missed it in the reading. What I read was:

Female marsupials have two ovaries, two oviducts and two uteri, like other mammals, as well as a unique vaginal apparatus that opens into a urogenital sinus, which also receives the urethra (Tyndale-Biscoe & Renfree 1987). The urogenital sinus, together with the hind gut, opens caudally into the urogenital opening. The double but completely separate uteri, characteristic of all marsupials, open by separate cervices: unlike many species of Eutheria, no marsupial has a single chambered uterus.

It does state that the male genitalia are bifurcated:

In most marsupials the glans penis is a prominent, bifurcated structure, although various extreme and intermediate forms exist (Biggers 1966).

Regards LittleOldMe (talk) 10:23, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Reading a bit further it actually states that the koala has to vaginae:
The vaginal apparatus consists of two lateral vaginae, each connecting the uterus of the same side to the urogenital sinus. The anterior end of each lateral vagina, separated only by a common median septum, unite into a vaginal cul-de-sac, into which the uterine cervices open (Tyndale-Biscoe & Renfree 1987).

[edit] Hunmin Jeongeum and Hunmin Jeongeum Haerye

Hi,

It looks like the images of Hunmin Jeongeum and Hunmin Jeongeum Haerye had gotten mixed up. Well, one image was used in the info boxes of both, and the photo of Treasure #70 clearly shows it to be the Haerye, as can be confirmed by the German texts in the links. Could you check that I didn't confuse things further? Thanks, kwami (talk) 20:45, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] wikipedia logo

Hi Kjoonlee, I noticed the message you left on Metaeducation's talk page. He apparently has been inactive for a while (only one contribution since January 15) so if you don't mind, I'd like to see that svg file for the Korean "위". Actually, why don't you upload it to commons? Cheers, Waldir talk 19:47, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey, great, thanks! I have some experience with 3D myself (though not with Blender yet), and I've been planning to look into the puzzle model Metaeducation has started. It will probably be delayed to later, since I am a bit busy lately with other projects, but as soon as I do start working on it, I'll let you know :) --Waldir talk 23:19, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Logo Textures

Hello Kjoonlee, thanks for contacting me! Sadly, I have been idle on the Wikipedia Puzzle Ball model project (and Wikipedia in general) due to countless other commitments. There is no way for me to take the model forward, so I've had my fingers crossed that the work would spur others with greater ability to finish what I instigated. But I'm happy that my initial research has been helpful for people trying to figure out what a "true" 3-D Wikipedia puzzle ball would look like, and that someone other than myself put it into the Wikipedia logo article. You might want to put your offer on the talk page of that article--and perhaps you could upload a 1024x1024 PNG of the character just to get the ball rolling? Others might follow suit and flesh out that diagram I made...it just is something on a back burner right now, but Wiki could really use a slickly rendered globe. Would make a nice toy too, good for fundraising! Metaeducation (talk) 03:12, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
