This message is regarding the page Losso. Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia!--Adam (talk) 22:12, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, perhaps this edit was in good faith. Just remember to state your intentions when editing pages. I see that you have done a great deal of work on this article.--Adam (talk) 22:13, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for your comment. I'm new to Wikipedia and am trying to work on this particular article and learn how to do things correctly before adding or editing other articles in my areas of expertise. I had not realized that I had made a blank entry but I think that I have now corrected this mistake and added some additional content. Kelly 12 April 2006
- In response to the message indicating that I need to Wikify this article, I have made some preliminary changes (e.g. the introduction) and will revise my footnoting in the next few days. Kelly 12 June 2006
- I have continued to tweak existing entries. I have added four more entries to the "prominent Lossos" category, one two of which are awaiting additional information that I have requested before completing. Kelly 20 August 2006
- I continue to tweak and today added a brief section on the history of the Nawdm. I need to add notes supporting Paragraph 1 of "history." Kelly 22 August 2006
[edit] September 2006
This message is regarding the Niamtougou page. I have begun to replace the stub with specific content. Over the next few days and weeks, I will add text, create links, and add notes where appropriate. Kelly 13 September 2006
Thanks to whoever contributed information on Hola Adzalla! I made a format change in order to keep the "form" and edited the text slightly. If you can help with a bit more info on Hola Adzalla and also on Jean-Marie Barandao and Emmanuel Birregah, on the two feamsle Chefs de Canton, etc., this would be very helpful, too. [edit] License tagging for Image:Losso home & migration map.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Losso home & migration map.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:10, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

This message is regarding the page Kléber Dadjo. I copied the article on the Losso page regarding "Prominent Lossos." There remains a problem in citing Col. Dadjo's date of death. Most mentions of him state that he died in 1979, although one source contends that he is alive today at age 92! I know that he did not die in 1979 because I shook hands with him at the 1984 funeral of President Eyadema's mother! Kelly 21 December 2006
[edit] July 2007
I have been making updates to several parts of the article on Losso. In June 2007, I acquired copies of several books on Togolese history that have been published in the last ten years and represent the most current scholarship. In addition, a friend has put me in contact with the Chiefs of Niamtougou and Siou who have already begun to assist me in updating certain parts of the article, especially the bio sketches of the two chiefs themselves and of Col. Dadjo. Kelly 4 july 2007
[edit] January 2008
I have been trying to begin an article on the Lamba. The Lamba are listed as "Lamba (tribe)". The term "tribe" as used by Westerners to describe African ethnic groups is inappropriate. It connotes "primitive" and other pejorative racial ideas. This is true in spite of the fact that some Africans continue to use the word "tribe" when communicating in English, which is not their mother tongue. They are using it in their own context without the "pejorative" baggage that the word has when used by Westerners. The complete explanation is at: 'Talking About Tribe," <http://www.africaaction.org/bp/ethall.htm>. I couldn't figure out at first how to change the name of "Lamba (tribe)" article so I tried unsuccessfully to create a new "Lamba" article and proceeded to screw things up. I have gone back and begun editing the "Lamba (tribe)" but I couldn't figure out how to change the title to "Lamba." When I finally realized that I should have been using "Move" to change the title, I tried to do so. However, the ill-fated "Lamba" article that I tried to write prevents me from changing the name of the "Lamba (tribe)" article. Worse, I can no longer find my "Lamba" article to delete it! Help! I will begin adding reference notes soom. Kelly 18 January 2008

I seem to have the problems with the article on Lambas solved thanks to help received. Thanks again. I will be gradually working on it in the next 2-3 months.
In re: the article on Col. Kleber Dadjo, former Interim President of Togo, I received an e-mail from his oldest son on 19 April 2008 in response to my letters of July 2007 (see above). He has offered his help on finishing the article and assures me that he has the documents of his father's personal and professional life that I can refer to. Therefore, I hope to finish the article, complete with documentary references, in the next few weeks. Kelly 22 April 2008
