KJMK used to be a part of the family-owned Zimmer Radio Group. The stations were sold in July 2007 to James Zimmer and he created a new company called Zimmer Radio, Inc.
This station started out as KAT Country 93.9 owned by Chuck Dunnaway with consolidation Chuck was able to purchase 102.5 and pulled the plug on Kat Country. 93.9 was relaunched as an A/C station named: Magic 93.9 and later transition to Lite Rock 93.9 dropping the Magic name.
