[edit] History
[edit] Landmarks and Buildings
Formerly known as the Ensbury Park Hotel one of the most notable buildings is The Ensbury Park public house which is on the corner of Columbia Road and Boundary Lane. In the past the establishment has had a reputation for its rowdy clientele, however this has improved in recent years.
[edit] Community
Ensbury Park has a number of churches which serve the local residents and there is a community centre on the corner of Howeth Road and Kingswell Road.
[edit] Present Day
Ensbury Park has in the past been served by a large number of shops, mainly in Columbia Road. In recent years however many of these these have been converted into private dwellings. This means that local people now have to rely on local convenience stores and the Post Office or travel some distance to the nearest supermarket.
The area remains a popular choice for home buyers due to it being a relatively quiet locale. There are local recreational facilities nearby such as Redhill park which has tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool and a playground. Slades Farm, a council estate along Columbia Road is surrounded by a large area of green space and has a playground and skate board area.
