Jamison's high school years in Virginia Beach, Virginia, were a pivotal time for the sparking of his life interests and ambitions as he participated in several trips to Seguin, Haiti, and Tijuana, Mexico, with various missionary organizations. Viewing the overwhelming hardships of these countries, Jamison went on to major in International Relations in his university studies, attempting to relate his education to his experiences. Born from these experiences were his interests and passion for international issues, languages, world cultures, and largely international humanitarian aid and politics.
After graduating from Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, VA, Jamison used two years to work as a pharmaceutical technician and take his lower level college courses at Tidewater Community College before re-locating to Rome, Italy, to study at John Cabot University. After two years of work, travel, and study at John Cabot, Jamison moved back to Virginia to finish his studies at Old Dominion University. He is fluent in Italian, knowledgeable in French, Spanish, German, and currently studying Mandarin Chinese at New York University.
Jamison's interests in foreign politics and international issues on a whole have yielded significant accomplishments such as his 2004 collaborated case study on International education entitled "Case for the Internationalization of Virginia High School Curricula," a calling/plea for the internationalization of the curricula in Virginia High Schools to the Virginia Board(s) of Education and the Virginia General Assembly.
Jamison is the founder of the not-for-profit organization "Discipulus," which is designed to guide and provide assistance to international students who wish to study in the U.S, and the humanitarian aid organization A.P.A.E.H, Art for Poverty, Aids, Education and Hunger, an organization which is designed to take profits from the annual sales of fine art throughout the world, and put the funds towards worldwide humanitarian efforts.
Currently Jamison's interests in the worldwide fine art market have brought new focuses and ideas to his ambitions and career/life goals regarding humanitarian aid and its funding. He is an avid cyclist.
