Kjartan Salvesen

Kjartan Salvesen (born 17 October 1976 in Sandnes) is the winner of the second season of Norwegian version of Idol by 840.000 votes, the highest number for any participant on the show. His single "Standing Tall" sold five times platinum, making it the second most sold single of all time in Norway. He later released a self-titled album that sold platinum. He is also known to be a big fan of Viking F.K. and appeared in a performance on the opening of Viking Stadium.
Recently, Kjartan and his girlfriend Inger welcomed the birth of their first child, a boy that they named Hugo.
Currently, Kjartan is working on breaking through in the North American music industry. He has new original songs on his myspace site.
