Kites (Simon Dupree song)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kites is a song written by Hal Hackaday and Lee Pockriss.

The best known version of it was performed by Simon Dupree and the Big Sound. It was their only single which became a major hit in the UK. The single reached no 8 in late 1967 and as an exemplar of the early psychedelic rock style it has since appeared on many compilations, especially those themed around psychedelia.
