Catherine "Kit" Hunter was a fictional character currently on the Australian television soap opera series Home and Away. The character was played by actor Amy Mizzi.

The eldest daughter of Beth Hunter, Kit first appeared as a regular character in 2003 in episode 3495 as an alcoholic young woman seeking help at the drop-in centre. She met Noah Lawson and he was one of the people who helped her deal with her drinking problems, while she fell in love with him. But nothing really developed and in early 2004, she left Summer Bay to go to university. Kit has since returned to the series a number of times since and has pursued a romantic relationship with Kim Hyde.
In late 2006, Kit returned to the series to tell Kim that she is pregnant with their child following a sexual encounter while they were stranded in the bush after a helicopter crash. Later this year Kit finally delivers her bushland child after failing to reach the hospital. An overjoyed Kim delivers his new son but tragedy strikes when after delivering her baby Kit goes into a fit.
In 2007, Kit's boyfriend at university, James, entered the Bay (and Kit's life). He did not know Kit was pregnant. In episodes aired in March 2007, it was revealed that James has a serious drug dependency on marijuana. Kit has just had her baby boy who she gave birth to in the bush and then named him Archie.
Kit begins to fall in love with Kim and in a spur of the moment kisses him. He is shocked but doesn't seem too angry.
Matilda then goes and tells Kim that Kit is in love with him. He then contemplates it for the rest of the night.
Kit and Kim go to the hospital together for Archie's annual check up. She then tells him what Matilda told him is true and that she has been for a long time.
Kim says he is confused about his feelings mainly because Kit is the mother of his child. Kit also tells him she's going back to the city to finish her degree. When Kim couldn't make his mind up, Kit left for the city with Archie. Following another argument with Rachel and revelations of her affair with Hugh, Kim turned up in the city to look for Kit and their son. He eventually decided to leave his wife to be with Kit and start a new life with his family in the city.
