An extended drum kit, as used by a working drummer.

It consists of a very traditional 4-piece drum set, 20" ride and 14" hihat cymbals (hihat and snare drum obscured), extended with two 16" crash cymbals, medium on the right and warm on the left, a paperthin 12" splash in the centre, a 10" medium splash above the left crash, a 10" china splash extreme right, an octobahn and a woodblock (obscured). Bass kick is a symmetrical double pedal.

This is an original photograph by Andrew Alder, taken on 7 September 2003.
