[edit] Joining the Project
Hi Kishore Patnaik, I saw your message on my talk page. Which project did you want to join? --Shruti14 t c s 21:53, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Did you want to join WikiProject Hinduism? To join, just add your name here and you may join the WikiProject. --Shruti14 t c s 21:57, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
-
- There is also a WikiProject India if that was what you were looking for. If there are any others you want to join, let me know and I will find out how to join for you. Usually there is a link on the main page of the project. --Shruti14 t c s 22:01, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

- For WikiProject Hinduism, the link to join is here. It's just like editing a Wikipedia article, only that you add your name to the list. After that, you are a member of that project. On the pages of the other WikiProjects, there will be a "Participants" page. Edit the page according to the instructions of the page (by clicking the 'edit' link) and add your name. Leave me another message on my talk page if you are still confused. To add your name, type this: [[User:Kishorepatnaik]] or [[user|Kishorepatnaik]] .--Shruti14 t c s 21:51, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:47, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Signature on article
This is regarding [1] a recent edit.
Signing articles goes against wikipedia policy - please see: Wikipedia:Signature
“ | Edits to articles should not be signed, as signatures on Wikipedia are not intended to indicate ownership or authorship of any Wikipedia article. Rather, the edit history takes care of the need to identify edits with users. | ” |
Thank you for reading this message, please reply in my talk page.--Kiyarrllston 03:24, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- You are allowed to sign contributions on the Talk pages (those that have talk on their title. (like User Talk:Dwarf Kirlston or Talk:India, Talk:Hinduism. Those are where communication between users happen (like I found the Abhaswaras article a bit short on references - are they only talked about in those two sources?) - Please respond in User Talk:Dwarf Kirlston#KishorePatnaik, thankyou for reading this message.--Kiyarrllston 13:48, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, the recent edit you made to Wikipedia:Recent additions has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 15:34, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
The recent edit you made to Wikipedia:Recent additions constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thanks. Will (talk) 16:26, 1 March 2008 (UTC))
- Kishorepatnaik, the Recent Additions page is only for writing stuff that has already appeared on the front page. You need to make your submission to the did you know page here [T:TDYK] on the appropiate place (make sure that the article follows the rules posted there before posting your suggerence), and the people there will decide it they will include it --Enric Naval (talk) 17:35, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Group
Thanks for telling me about the groups. I am joining them, although I will not post my email address publicly here. --Shruti14 t c s 21:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Panduranga page
That link redirects to Krishna. --Shruti14 t c s 17:03, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
-
- I agree as well, and hope to bring the discussion to Talk:Krishna and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Hinduism/Vaishnavism so that the appropriate changes can be made. I cannot change them myself without consent from the group and someone removing the redirect. --Shruti14 t c s 17:20, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Elephants
The information was never in the main article, but I do remember an article I saw a LONG time ago about the ancient Indian military according to the Hindu scriptures... I can't currently find the article. --Shruti14 t c s 04:52, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- I am so far unable to find it. Unfortunately it really was a long time ago (several months ago, when I first joined Wikipedia), and I don't even remember what the title of the article was. --Shruti14 t c s 23:12, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Abhidhana
I had previously tagged it for weasel words because it had contained weasel words such as "is often mentioned as the best", which are not allowed under Wikipedia policy (see WP:AWW). I have now edited the article so that the weasel words are replaced by allowed words, have removed the "weasel words", and replaced it with an "expand" tag, since the article needs expansion. --Shruti14 t c s 23:14, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Email
I won't post my email online for safety reasons but if you click on Special:EmailUser/Shruti14 and send me a message that way, I will receive your message and email you back by replying to it. --Shruti14 t c s 00:20, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
