Kistolmacs is nestled in a picturesque wooded valley where visitors can experience a slow pace of life combined with a seasonal beach style atmosphere, including the hire of pedaloes. The lake is also a popular fishing lake and is regularly stocked.
There are stunning views over the lake and Kistolmacs can come alive in the day time as visitors enjoy everything that a beach environment offers, all but the sand.
The villagers offer a number of places to eat from snack bars to a restaurant, all offering alcoholic refreshment. There is a small village shop providing the essentials and a supermarket only five minutes away. A narrow gauge railway network, a short walk from the house, connects Kistolmacs to neighbouring villages via a scenic route.
