Kissin' George

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kissin' George (born 1963) was an American thoroughbred racehorse, considered America's premier sprinter of the late 1960s. Although he lost to Dr. Fager on two occasions when stretching beyond his preferred six furlong distance there was no question to his dominance at the sprints. In 1968, he won the Sport Page Breeders' Cup Handicap under rider Braulio Baeza.

Kissin' George was a chestnut by Slam Ruler out of a Head Play mare called Nothead. Kissin' George was active for two time periods, 1966-1969 and 1973-74.
