Kisizi is a small hospital town in the Rukungiri District of south-west Uganda. Most of the locals speak Rukiga, which is often studied by Western medical students. It also has a primary school, one of the best in Uganda, and a secondary school named Rubrizi Secondary School.

Kisizi waterfall is the site of a hydroelectric dam project, due to be completed in early 2008. The town's water engineer, Charles Swainson, is the head of the project. It is expected to power many homes and also the hospital.

The town is split into upper and lower Kisizi.

[edit] Hospital

Kisiizi Hospital was established in 1958 and is run by the Church of Uganda. The hospital receives a lot of funding from Ireland including St. Andrew's College, Dublin, and St. Paul's Church in Dublin.
