BGS
Hey Kiran, sorry for the delay replying but I wasn't online yesterday. It looks like you've worked out the archiving. I will check out your recent edits to BGS but I might not get a chance to until tomorrow. As long as you always write in your own words and are able to verify your information with reliable sources, you should be fine. Thanks for your messages. All the best for the new school year, Sarah 06:11, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- I was referring to the IPs that kept restoring the copyvio edits. I agree that you never pretended to be different people. I was very frustrated with the copyvio issue when I wrote that and I probably misspoke. I apologise and I'll tell Paaerduag that I don't believe you have breached sockpuppet policy. But by the way, on Wikipedia, sock doesn't necessarily mean pretending to be different people. The sock policy defines sockpuppet as "an additional username used by a Wikipedian who edits under more than one name" and it is generally accepted to include IPs. I assume that User:Kiran 90 is yours? if so, maybe you should consider tagging it with {{User Alternate Acct|Kiran90}}? You don't have to if you don't want to, it's up to you. - It does exist and you (or someone) made edits from it. [1] Do you want me to delete the userpage? I can if you like. Sarah 00:20, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- I deleted the userpage and talk page. Sarah 01:04, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
personal attacks
if you continue to pester me in this manner, Kiran90, I will take action. by the way, you PUBLICISED your grievances against me by providing a link on the discussion page to your little comment (conveniently archived now, eh?) and also going into your queries against me. You are a hypocrit because while you constantly publish public defamations of me, you do not allow me to do the same. I'll tell you this. Your scare tactics have worked long enough. I am now stepping back up, and you ain't gonna knock me down with your slander and abuse against me. I am sick of constantly being hounded by you Kiran90. I ain't gonna be discouraged from editing the Brisbane Grammar School article, just because you attempt (in vain) to scare me away from it. You do what you want, but don't EVER personally harass me publicly and then not let me do the same (called hypocracy, in case you forgot) or even attack me in private, because I will just delete it and take action against you. --Paaerduag 10:46, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Kiran, I understand that the BGS dispute has been going on for ages and you find it frustrating because you don't like people trying to slant the article unfairly and give undue weight to the sexual abuse section. But please stop making comments about Paaerduag. I have also told him to stop making comments about you. I think it would make things much better if we all try to focus only on the article content and try to resolve the content issues. Sarah 05:46, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
sarah
I am talking to Sarah, why are you butting in? It is none of your business if I want her to speak for yourself. You don't need to talk for her, leading to the impression of a team. You responded to BOTH my posts to her, BEFORE SHE DID!!! I mean, why would someone do that, unless they were backing each other up? Or maybe you can't help but butt in, which is extremely rude and disrespectful. --Paaerduag 01:45, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
SHUT UP!!!
personal attack removed - see Diff --Paaerduag 01:52, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- Kiran90, if this escalates the proper place to report it is at WP:ANI. - WeniWidiWiki 02:48, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Kiran, I think it would be best if you stopped replying to Paaerduag unless it is related to the article. Your comments seem to antagonise him and make him even more angry and convinced everyone is ganging up against him. Thanks, Sarah 06:43, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the barnstar, Kiran! That is definitely the first time someone I've blocked has given me a barnstar! :) Cheers, Sarah 13:30, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Blanking talk pages
People can edit their userspace as they wish within reason. You still have to follow policies and guidelines in your userspace. The user page guideline is here: Wikipedia:User page.
As far as blanking or section blanking goes, it is definitely frowned on, especially removing warnings and such. There's been lots of ANI discussions about it and archiving is strongly preferred and recommended, but it's not a policy or anything so it can't really be enforced. It makes it look like you're trying to cover things up if you just section blank warnings, and it really just makes him look very bad. Admins should check the page history when deciding to warn or block and they wouldn't block for blanking, but if they were already going to block for disruption, it could influence them in terms of deciding on the length of the block. Heh, yeah, I know, I'm not worried in the slightest. :) Sarah 18:23, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Commenting on a block
Wiki works by community consensus, so all matters are open to community participation and comment, including WP:AN and WP:AN/I for example. You are certainly free to leave a comment regarding a block where you see fit.. Tyrenius 12:36, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
