[edit] NPOV on history

"It is considered as an anti monarchy city due to its bitter history against the Shah dynasty whose modern founder conquered the city insultingly to be followed by negligence of the administration and development by subsequent rulers." This sentence seems a bit provactive? Natebailey 04:25, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Well - it is a historic fact that he
1) Cut the noses of all men over 12 when he took the city in 1766
2) Renamed the city "The city of the noseless".
Perhaps not surprizingly, the local population got rid of that name after king Prithvi Narayan Shah died.
Perhaps not surprizingly, they never liked the Shah family afterwards, either?
