Talk:Kiroro
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Q. Because most of the text with infomation about Kiroro is in Japanese and / or Chinese (Taiwan is apparently their most active region apart from Japan), when I make a contribution on "English wikipedia", can I actually translate the text before putting them up? [But I've yet to obtain any professional translation qualifications to serve as authority, so what can I actually do?]
Q. When putting up important terminologies of Japanese origins, eg. song titles, anime titles for instance, what is the standard convention I should use? Hiragana, Kanji, Katakana, Roumanji, "english translation", or whichever mixture should I use? The risk of putting every means is "infomation overload".
Q. What kind of sharing might result in infringement of copyrights? For instance, when I share the "background story" of particular song(s) that's from an "official source", do I need to alter it and/or summarise/ make adjustments so that it's okay?
Q. What kind of infomation about Kiroro is actually "worthy to be on wikipedia"? For instance, the background stories of the two ladies before they form the duo? Their days back as an independent label? The song lyrics (translations)? News about them? "Milestones"?
Q. What happens when the source of a particular infomation is "dead" and can no longer be verified?
Q. Is it possible to discuss the relation of a particular song to Kiroro's real life? There may be no official comments on every song, but sometimes, one can "feel it" without words. Is the trivia section meant for such functions?
Hopefully, these would serve as the basis to expand Kiroro's english wikipedia page ^Ô^ Ong y j (talk) 05:06, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
