[edit] Spelling

i wonder how long this has been the preferred spelling? Youngs lists the normal spelling as "Kirk Leavington" and gives "Kirk Levington" as the version used ecclesiastically. Morwen - Talk 22:03, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Signs around the area spell it both 'Kirklevington' and 'Kirkleavington'

It's about the most exciting thing about this particular collection of upper middle class households.

I lived in Kirklevington around 1979-1982, and nobody used the spelling 'Kirkleavington' in day to day use; it was 'Kirklevington'. I suspect 'Kirkleavington' is an older spelling that fell into disuse.

True, it wasn't the most dynamic place in the world, but it was a nice place to live. 72.16.169.146 (talk) 22:15, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
