Talk:Kirk Michael railway station

There's something strange going on here? I've been trying to put "(Kirk) Michael Station" into the text in first line and then make it bold. As you do in most articles right. Trouble is everytime I try to do it I fail? Text after gets done in bold as well? Can someone else have a go and tell me if it's just me or not please? I've been attempting to wikify this article as per tagged request, but this bug is stopping me Sting_au Talk 12:24, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

This is a strangeness of the parser. The problem is that later on in the article there's an apostrophe, followed by something written in italic: '''Michael''. This is parsed as apostrophe-italic, but if there's something in bold earlier in the article it's instead parsed as end-bold/start-italic, thus causing the confusion. Try changing the offending code later on to '<i>Michael</i>; this should fix the problem for the time being. --ais523 13:19, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes that worked. Thanks. Sting_au Talk 10:46, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
