[edit] Just A Rumor

I heard a rumor that the title may be "Kirby: Pop Star Adventures" Hollywoodd 22:27, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Why is "Kirby" the tentative title?

Last I remember, it was "Kirby Adventure". 208.101.148.128 17:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

The only time it has ever been called that has been by IGN, last I checked. Nintendo of Japan's website's upcoming games list has continually listed the game as "Hoshi no Kirby", which has always been the base title of all of Kirby's main games in Japan. Disaster Kirby 18:39, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS GAME?!

What is taking Nintendo and HAL so long to make this game? Have they canceled it? Or has it gone Vaporware? I'm just so confused! Link 486 14:22, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Oi, it was mentioned at this year's E3 in a news article (although I don't believe anything about it was shown), so apparently it isn't dead just quite yet. Disaster KirbyTalk 14:42, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Title

Since it may be for Gamecube is it right to call it Kirby (Wii)?Claycrow 13:45, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

It can't be for GameCube, because Nintendo has stopped making games for it. Plus, Nintendo Power doesn't list "Kirby" as as upcoming GameCube game anymore (let alone any GameCube games at all?), and Nintendo of Japan only lists "Hoshi no Kirby" as a Wii title. [edit] Release

I'm totally confused about this. Cassamina confirmed this title was going to launch this month, but we don't have any information about the game, nor did we put the launch date. Why??? --Mr.Mario 192 (talk) 17:56, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Becuase Mr. Cassamina was wrong.67.149.107.82 (talk) 02:59, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

When is it going to launch then???? --Mr.Mario 192 (talk) 04:12, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] This game is CANCELLED.

I emailed Nintendo of America about the status of this game, and got this response:

"Hello Jesse,

Unfortunately, I'm sorry to report that Nintendo no longer plans to release that unfinished Kirby title for any system. While I don't have a specific reason that the game was canceled, I can tell you that it can happen for a variety of reasons. Nintendo is able to produce only a limited number of titles each year; when it comes time to pick those titles, we choose those that will provide the best entertainment value to the most people.

Our website's Game List (http://www.nintendo.com/gamelist) represents the best place to find the most accurate release dates available for our titles. Once there, click "Show advanced filtering" and use the dropdown menus to narrow your search based on system, publisher, number of players, etc.

When you have filtered your search, click on the game's title to see all the available information. If what you seek is not yet available, please check back later. When there is new information to share on announced games or other upcoming products, our website is the best official source!

Remember, any posted release dates are estimates and subject to change. As a product's estimated release date approaches, you may wish to check with your local retailers to see when it may be available in your area.

Face it guys; Kirby is as dead as Project HAMMER. JesseMeza (talk) 06:35, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

On the Nintendo Australia site it says the game is for Gamecube and the release date is TBC. It doesn't mention anything about a Wii version. However, it was last updated on March 8, 2006... so it's probably wrong and you're probably right. M4192 (talk) 22:37, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Wait a minute here, how do you know this game is cancelled????? First of all, it's not OFFICIAL, in other words, they didn't specifically said it. They just said they don't "plan" to launch in any system. Secondly, (I know this may seem strange)NOA is not a reliable source due to the fact that the game was proposed to be held responsible by Nintendo EAD. The game could start development later, since Sakurai is actually busy on Brawl, posting updates every weekday. And about Ask Nintendo, it's also not a reliable source. They could have totally forgotten about this game and could pass wrong information. And when she explained about the system to go see on the site about news, information, and release dates, could that be some kind or hint??? Or just some information wasted to fill the letter??? I don't know but it's still speculation to say something like that all of the sudden. --Mr.Mario 192 (talk) 04:24, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

To back up Mr Mario, the Ask Nintendo section of ONM has a bad habit of being wrong. Only a few months ago it said there were no new DS colours coming to Europe in the near future, and lo and behold there are three being released this very month! They've actually removed it from their magazine now as part of a re-vamp last issue! SpinachPuffs (talk) 19:33, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] made in america

will this be the first Kirby game produced only in japan —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.89.130.174 (talk) 16:37, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Kirby no Kirakira Kizzu is the only Kirby game not released outside of Japan, so far. This game (the one that is only titled "Kirby" so far), though, has been announced for Europe and may well be released in the U.S. Tommy11111 (talk) 00:02, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
