Kirsten Sanford

Dr. Kirsten Sanford (a.k.a. Dr. Kiki Sanford) (born August 1, 1974[1][2]is a research scientist in neurophysiology at the University of California, Davis and is a specialist in learning and memory. She holds a B.S. in Conservation Biology and a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Physiology from U.C. Davis. Sanford is also the founder and host of the popular This Week in Science radio show/podcast, a weekly program broadcast from U.C. Davis and avidly followed by tens of thousands of fans worldwide.[citation needed]
In late 2007 and early 2008 Sanford expanded her work into online video, starring in both On Networks successful series Food Science and Revision3's variety show PopSiren. Pending purchase of the pilot, she is slated to co-host a new skeptical reality TV show called The Skeptologists.[3][4]

In 2005, Sanford was awarded the American Association for the Advancement of Science Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellowship [5] in recognition for her work with her radio show This Week in Science. Through this fellowship she worked as a television news producer at WNBC News in New York City, working with noted health and science reporter Dr. Max Gomez.
