Kirsten Cassidy (born 29 January 1990 in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport) is a British actress probably best known for her role as Tanya Young in the popular BBC children's drama Grange Hill. She trained at the Laine Johnson theatre school in Salford and attends Cheadle Hulme School in Stockport. Whilst at theatre school Cassidy played Rabbit in Wind in the Willows (Feelgood Theatre Productions); Debbie in Teachers (Laine Johnson); Charlotte in Our Day Out (Laine Johnson); Brigitta in The The Sound of Music; Oliver! (both Ashton Youth Theatre).
