Kirk Mitchell

Kirk Mitchell (1950—) is an author who has been active in a number of genres.
These include time travel: Never the Twain; alternative history: Procurator, New Barbarians, and Cry Republic; books created to support the release of movies: Colors, Mississippi Burning, Backdraft, Blown Away; and historical fiction: Black Dragon, With Siberia Comes a Chill, Shadow on the Valley, Fredericksburg. High Desert Malice and Deep Valley Malice expose the reader to a Basque ranger working for the Bureau of Land Management. Most recently, Mitchell has had success with adventure stories featuring Native American detectives: Cry Dance, Spirit Sickness, Ancient Ones, Sky Woman Falling, Dance of the Thunder Dogs.
Earlier in his career, Mitchell worked as a law enforcement officer.
