Kiran Comics

[edit] Brief History

Kiran Comics was an Indian Comic line published in the late 80s by Kiran Publications, India, and Distributed by India Book House (IBH), India. Like most of the other publications of the era, Kiran Comics too relied upon the reprinting of the popular international comics characters. In the hey-day of the comics in India, this was the common practise, and was solely responsible for the lack of original Indian Comics Characters until Diamond Comics and Manoj Comics came with their original characters line-up and we saw the development of the genuine Indian comics and their eager adoption by Indian Comic Lovers. Soon the comic publications dealing with only the international characters fled away, and Kiran Comics was not the exception.
