Kira Ein Hund Namens Money (English: Kira and a dog named Money)' is a children's novel by Bodo Schäfer, a German economics writer. The novel has the theme of economical subjects in the life of the family. This story has been published to other countries, including Asia.

Kira, who is twelve years old, is intent on wasting her lowly pocket money onto dolls and other childish entities. She lives in a poor condition, her parents constantly arguing of the shortage of money. Kira is therefore upset by the subject of economics and wishes to avoid it However, when she rescues a stray dog (who later is named by her to be Money) twice, the dog, as gratitude, reveals its ability to talk. The dog seems to have a depth into knowledge of money.
