Bokujou Monogatari: Kira Kira Taiyou to Nakama Tachi (牧場物語 キラキラ太陽となかまたち Bokujou Monogatari: Kira Kira Taiyou to Nakama Tachi?, lit. "Ranch Story - Sun and Companions"), also known as Harvest Moon - Shining Sun and Friends is a video game that was released on February 21, 2008 in Japan.[1] As the seventh installment of the Harvest Moon series on the Nintendo DS, the game closely resembles Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness as the island setting in Island of Happiness is one of multiple islands in this game.[2] The player can choose to be a boy (Mark) or a girl (Chelsea)[3]

Aside from the old characters from Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness, there will be new characters added to the game.
Most likely that the Witch Princess's niece will appear in Harvest Moon 8 (Shining Sun and Friends), however it is not confirmed that she will be a marriage candidate. In Japanese, her name is Majo-Chama ("Chama is a childish way of saying "sama", a Japanese honorific used also in the Witch Princess's Japanese name). She wants to prove herself and others, besides her aunt, that she will be the best witch alive in the world.
There will also be two new people available for marriage:
Will is the male marriage candidate who is available for Chelsea to marry. He appears to be a quite wealthy, polite blond, who lives in a cabin cruiser, such as a yacht or other large boat.
Suiren is the new female marriage candidate for Mark. She is portrayed as a traveling treasure hunter wearing a Chinese dress
