[edit] Invertebrate categorisation
I am unenthusiastic about your recent additions to the categories for invertebrates. Recent discussions concluded that politically-based distinctions are irrelevant to biota (Category:… by country), and that only purely geographical categories should be used (Category:… by geography). Similarly, Category:Invertebrates is redundant to Category:Animals, which already contains a Category:Vertebrates (within Category:Chordates) for all the remainder. How far were you planning to go with this system? --Stemonitis 13:25, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
I didn't realise it was controversial, I found an existing example & thought I'd expand it. Sorry if this caused problems. I've undone the changes I could. Kiore 07:35, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's no problem. Practices at Wikipedia have developed over years and it can be a struggle to find out why certain things are done. I've made the few changes that you couldn't. And thatnks for fixing my syntax in the message above! --Stemonitis 07:51, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
