KION Group

KION Group is the name of a manufacturer of materials handling equipment (fork lift trucks etc.) formerly part of Linde AG. On September 6, 2006 Linde announced a new structure following completion of the acquisition of The BOC Group, with the gas and engineering businesses of the combined entity operating as The Linde Group and the materials handling businesses (Linde Material Handling, STILL, and OM Carrelli Elevatori S.p.A.) operating as the KION Group. KION Group was recently sold by Linde AG to a partnership of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners for approximately EUR 4 bn.[1] [2]
