Yeah, some like to practice their novel writing skills here. Have you seen the A Dirty Shame article? Jeez! And this is after a day of trimming! I put all those tags on "that" article, limiting it to 5 at the risk of becoming a "wikihole". Some day we should attack it with quality edits and show 'em how it's done. As funny as it is I really hate for there to be such a terrible page on Wiki.Mike P talk 22:29, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- I did this rewrite recently I'm sure it could use a lookover. Thanks!Mike P talk 21:06, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Don't mean to bother...If you have time for this one too I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.Mike P talk 22:24, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Kinky, do you have time for a look over? Perversion (film), The Bloody Exorcism of Coffin Joe not yet but tomorrow: The Strange Hostel of Naked Pleasures Thanks. Mike. Mike P talk 17:39, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for the changes they are all great. I'm having trouble with cast credits--he is notorious for quickly flashing the actors names on screen without the characters' names, and the web isn't much help! I'm in Auburn so I'm frying too. Both ways. Mike P talk 22:40, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

- Sorry. What a mess and I was wrong. I checked some of my recent edits and noticed I neglected to put Susan Bernard back into the infobox in FPK,K when I re-did it. It's fixed. Mike P (WHAT?) 03:24, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Indiana Jones
An earlier version may not have said that, but an earlier earlier version did, which is where I got that. Too much knowledge leading to death is a common plot device in science fiction. An episode of Stargate Atlantis had Rodney McKay being made really smart by an alien device, and almost died from being so smart, until they reversed it.
Basically, it's a fact that if you have too many neurons firing at once, you have a seizure and die. That's where the myth that we only use 10% of our brain comes from. We only use part of our brain at a time, although on an average day we do use all of it. So if intelligence is proportional to the number of neurons firing at once (common in fiction even though it's actually the opposite, smart people have fewer neurons firing because their brains don't have to work as hard), too much intelligence can kill you.
Actually, the Stargate-Indy connection becomes even spookier when you realize that there was an episode of Stargate SG-1 about how crystal skulls were made by aliens (on there they actually teleport you to the alien planet). ColdFusion650 (talk) 18:39, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Fascinating...but I'm a music, film and pop culture geek, not a sci-fi geek. And nothing will ever convince me that too much knowledge can kill you. Even as a sci-fi plot device, it's too Homer Simpson for me ("USA! USA!"). So call me Brainiac, but I want to learn as much as possible in life.
[edit] Hey K
Due to a formatting error in my clever assed signature, I inadvertently created a new talk page where all my messages have been going for 2 weeks! I am a dink!! Anyhoo I stumbled upon the page when I clicked the talk link in my sig. It's fixed now. I would most definitely buy that Marins set, I've never heard of it. I would just die for it. Is there just one? I'm struggling with The Strange Hostel of Naked Pleasures. Classic trash that's difficult to describe but it's absolutely awesome.
Thanks for the encouragement, it does mean a lot.Mike P (talk) 16:38, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

- I created stubs for Vincent Peranio and Channing Wilroy, but they are in definite need of expansion.Mike P (talk) 16:47, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- Got it already. Rather than smother you with cakes of praise and gratitude, I will say that this is just one of the coolest things ever. Thanks. Mike P (talk) 21:04, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
