[edit] Muhammed Article

Tariq, why did you remove the PBUH from the Mohamed article? it's more or less part of his name to muslims, I would like to add it somewhere, do you have any suggestions? KingTut1982 22:32, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia for all people and so we have a policy of Neutral point-of-view. As part of that policy, we cannot using honorifics, such as peace be upon him to refer to Muhammad or any religious figure of any religion. The Muhammad article already mentions the common use of the phrase peace be upon him and so it doesn't really need to get anywhere else. -- tariqabjotu (joturner) 23:03, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mohamed Aboutreika

It would be appreciated if you use the template:cite web for your references. Also, you must use <ref name=Name here>Source (use the template)</ref> for the references, and place it after the certain information you are using the source to cite. See Faten Hamama for an example. Good job. ← ANAS Talk? 12:51, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Egyptians

Thank you for experimenting with the page Egyptians on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. — Zerida 00:00, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi again. It doesn't work that way. The collage is embedded in one image, so you can't really change the picture around. Sorry. — Zerida 00:37, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Oh, I see. But you really should have discussed the change on the talk page to gain consensus before making the change. There has been disagreement in the past about who should be in the collage, and I don't know if it's appropriate to have two ancient Egyptians but no modern Egyptian woman beside Sherine. — Zerida 00:51, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Are you talking about the Graeco-Roman Fayum mummy? I don't think this should be taken out because it's important to also represent Egyptians from different time periods. Zewail did cross my mind before, and there was a pic of him in the contributions to humanity section, but it was deleted because of copyright. I haven't thought about adding a third row, that might be an overkill. Maybe you can suggest some names for another row on the talk page? Be aware though of copyright issues because we don't want the whole collage getting deleted. — Zerida 01:04, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
