[edit] Dean guitars
Hello and thanks for your recent activity to improve Dean guitar articles. I wanted to remind you that generally when editors makes changes to the articles, they are doing so in good faith and per Wikipedia policies. For example, Wikipedia requires articles to be sourced with independent, reliable sources - see Wikipedia:Verifiability. While the Dean web site is a good source for basic facts, if you are going to make claims about certain guitarists being "famous users" or similar, you need to be able to back that up with an independent source. An example would be a magazine article that says that guitarist is notable for playing Deans. So if someone adds a template to the section requesting sources, that is meant as a request for you to do so. If you can't, the section should be removed.

[edit] WikiProject Guitarists newsletter
The WikiProject Guitarists Newsletter |
|
Hey everyone! It's been quite a while since the last newsletter went out but it's time to tune up those guitars, set the amps to 11, and rock out a bit. Or for us old guys, put on the fingerpicks and set the amp to 3. A lot of people have been laboring away at guitar articles and their efforts are to be applauded. If you haven't edited in a while, why not pick an article from Category:Stub-Class guitarist articles and expand it? Or better yet, pick one from the article requests and create it. More tasks can be found on the main project page in the WikiProject Guitarists open tasks box. I went through the member list and moved anyone who hasn't edited a guitar article in two months to the inactive section. If you're getting this newsletter, it means you are still in the active list. See you around --Spike Wilbury ♫ talk 21:47, 18 July 2007 (UTC) |

[edit] Categories
Howdy - there is no need to add Dean guitar articles to Category:Guitars. They are already in Category:Dean guitars which is a subset of Guitars. Make sense? --Spike Wilbury ♫ talk 22:20, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
- Same goes for Category:Dean guitars. It is currently a subset of Category:Electric guitars by manufacturer which eventually ends up under Guitars. No need to also add Guitars as a category.
