Lee Kerr (born August 18, 1987 in Jarrow, South Tyneside) is an English footballer who plays as a striker for Whitley Bay.
Another member of the Academy to take the step up to senior football. He has always been a natural striker and a great future in the game is expected of him. Lee set a unique record during the 2004/05 season when he became the only player ever to have scored in the three FA competitions, the FA Cup, Vase and Youth Cup in the same season.
On 26 February, 2007 he was handed a two week trial by Premiership club Newcastle United after impressing their manager Glenn Roeder.[1] It was decided on 10 March however, that Kerr would not join Newcastle, though there has been recent interest from Watford and Norwich City.[2]
Kerr has also had trials with Leeds United and Stockport County and has been a prolific scorer for Whitley Bay this term.
