[edit] edit conflict
hey welcome bro! :) seems like we're having many "edit conflict" for editing in the same time. EnthusiastFR 15:27, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] nidaime
"nidaime" (ニ代目) doesn't mean "2nd" but "second generation" and the announcer pronounce "nidaime kinnikuman great". i see no reason for using "2nd kinnikuman great" which is false. EnthusiastFR 16:32, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Actually, it does mean 2nd. "Daime" is a reference to ordinals (first president, 3rd wife, etc.) and in this case "Nidaime" refers to Terryman as the "2nd Kinnikuman Great", which he is (the first being Kamehame, the third being Chaos from Nisei).--Seigi Choujin 20:07, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- roger that. thanks. EnthusiastFR 22:16, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] characters from Ultimate Muscle / Ultimate Muscle 2
i don't know which characters were introduced in the seqquels, so i've removed the following CHR subsections.
==KINNIKUMAN NISEI ULTIMATE MUSCLE (キン肉マンII世アルティメット・マッスル)== *tbc ==KINNIKUMAN NISEI ULTIMATE MUSCLE 2 (キン肉マンII世アルティメット・マッスル2)== *tbc
haven't seen the '00 TV series (nor muled it) so i don't know much about the kinnikuman nisei parts. i saw the original series as a kid in the '80s, was a Cosmix (BTW i saw no article about the US toys?? must create an article about the euro version with the CHR names!) toy collector which is the Euro-FR version of the M.U.S.C.L.E.).
comparing this game with the Kinnikuman Generations JP+US PS2 game i played, i assume no available characters were introduced in the Ultimate/2. i think there is a theme from ultimate. will look further later.
EnthusiastFR 23:40, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Ultimate Muscle and Ultimate Muscle 2 are just extensions of the anime version and nothing more. The Nisei anime ended before the still-running-today manga so UM 1&2 were created to keep covering the story. So there's no reason to seperate characters into "Kinnikuman Nisei", "Ultimate Muscle", and "Ultimate Muscle 2".--Seigi Choujin 09:31, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] sort for 2nd gen
i'd like to sort the CHR list for the 2nd generation. the legend section is great and i'd like to have a clear sort in the 2nd gen as well.
first thought to use the "Justice Chojin 2nd Gen" / "Evil Chojin 2nd Gen", as stated in the CHR list here and there but as some CHR are moving from evil side to good, it was uneasy and some were not yet mentioned. finally i've used the Kinnikuman Generations PS2 sort (bio) to classify the characters. The Idol/HF/dMp etc is mentionned on the CHR bio in the game (loading screen in versus) and in the select screen too i think. Kuroe is appearing in the Nisei part so he can't (EDIT) be classified with Terryman, Warsman etc, but his part of dMp (AFAIK) and "kuroe" is not actually a legend, this is "warsman" his alter ego. Kuroe was listed in the secondary CHR list in the TV series offcial site (1st link), so had no choice but "Legend Chojin", what do you think? EnthusiastFR 18:41, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Honestly? I think Chloe should be back with Warsman. But that's just me.--Seigi Choujin 20:19, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
-
- I would agree that Chloe should go with Warsman if there was a "Legend" category (Terryman, Warsman, Ramenman etc), but we made a Justice/Evil/Knight sort instead, which i think was the better thing to do because the Justice characters featured in the game are not the nisei legend version (whole different design) but the kinnikuman version (hence both Kinnikuman/Kinnikuman Nisei logos in the game's title screen). Kinnikuman and his mates were not "Legend" before Kinnikuman Nisei, the legend category was created to distinguish the old chojin from the new generation. Chloe only appeared in the Nisei series, that's why i think he is part of the "Legend" (or the dMp maybe, Kevin Mask trained him after leaving dMp right?) not the "Justice Chojin (1st gen)". sounds logical to me.
-
- I could create a "Justice Chojin 2nd Gen" section including the HF/HF2 subsection and an "Evil Chojin 2nd Gen" w/dMp but the problem is the Idol Chojin category are they good or evil?
-
- checked Galactic Wrestling (aka "Kinnikuman Generations" PS2 US vers.) tonight and heard in the Character introduction that New Sunshine is actually a dMp as he trained Check Mate, so i moved him to the 2nd Generation section. here Sunshine is in the "Legend Chojins" category but he actually looks like "New Sunshine"...
-
- about the finishing moves they are actually 2 of them per CHR. only one is displayed in the loading screen, but when entering the game's Command List there are 2 moves. The same moves are mentioned in Galactic Wrestling/Kinnikuman Generations. sometimes the first one has been used in Muscle GP's loading screen, sometimes it's the 2nd. i think i'm gonna use the 2 of them, and will use them again in the upcoming Kinnikuman Generations/Galactic Wrestling article. time to sleep...
-
- BTW: i'm pretty sure "Meat" was named "Niku" in the original Kinnikuman TV series (i still remember having heard it in the castillan dubbed version). He had "niku" (hiragana written on his forehead) and was wearing a "NIKU" (romaji) T-shirt, but now in the game (and probably in the nisei TV series) he is called "Meat" (he is named "mito" -katakana- in the story mode), he still has his niku hiragana, BUT now he wears a "MEAT" (romaji) T-shirt... seems the series has become overamericanized...
EnthusiastFR 23:14, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Actually, Chloe trained Kevin and Idol Choujins was just another name for the Justice Choujins. On the Japanese Wiki page, the Nisei characters (whom are all good guys right now in the manga btw) are listed with the Justice Choujins (Seperated into Legends and New Generation). As for Meat, he has always been called Meat (or Miito) in Japan, from the manga, to both G1 animes, to the Nisei manga, to the Nisei animes (trust me, I have the entire Japanese manga and various episodes from both G1 animes and the Nisei anime plus the first Nisei movie).
- Oh and you got some of the move names wrong (I had put "Mummy Package" for Mister Kamen because "Miira" means "mummy") so I hope you don't mind if I change 'em. And since you say they have pretty much the same specials (except two) as they do in Generations, I'm gonna guess some of the others finishers and add them. Let me know if I get any wrong.--Seigi Choujin 04:31, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Why'd you add New Sunshine to the Nisei section? New Sunshine is how Sunshine looked during the Dream Tag Tournament in the first series.--Seigi Choujin 04:43, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Voice Cast
I've completed the vocie cast! The listing I found didn't mention Kinnikuman's dad or Canadianman but I had heard they were in it so I added them anyway with the voice actors that they most probly would've had (King Kinniku's original VA and Canadianman's current VA).--Seigi Choujin 18:20, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
