[edit] History of the hydro scheme.

According to a display in the visitors centre (about 1995) the scheme generated so much electricity that the village was given electric street lighting and became the first location in the UK to have such light; also the villagers were given a free electricity supply, at 400 volts DC(!). Anyone out there able to reference this? Springnuts 21:17, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
