[edit] Typo in Table

Entry altered to read 'KINGLET'

Python was a W-34 warhead used as a primary in the W-28, anglicised as Peter in the British Red Snow warhead. W-34 / Python was also used as a boosted fission weapon in the Mk-101 Lulu NDB, Mk-105 Hotpoint laydown bomb, the Mk-45 ASTOR torpedo and other weapons. One of its attractions to the British was that it used melt-cast Cyclotol HE in its implosion system, and the British were well experienced in the manufacture, storage and use of this HE. That was important to the British in their haste to get a thermonuclear bomb deployed for their V-bombers, and probably influenced their choice of the W-28. Brian.Burnell 21:47, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

I suggest that Wiki Users adopt the style used by the Nuclear Weapons Archive for consistency and to avoid confusing browsers of both sources. A hyphen is inserted thus W-55. Brian.Burnell 02:27, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

We've been around that one a couple of times. Other sources, including US government ones, seem to use no hyphens. That's why we're doing it this way, despite Carey's pages being the single largest source upon which WP pages are drawn.
Probably this is the wrong page for discussions like this. Maybe the talk page for List of nuclear weapons.
Good catch on the typo in the table, by the way. I guess you can tell which article I copied to create this one initially 8-P Georgewilliamherbert 03:22, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
