Greetings in Jesus Name! I want to start out by saying that just like there are many rapture worldviews, there are also many Kingdom Now worldviews. The one that is qouted is very much a widely held belief in many Charasmatic/Pentecostal circuits. Although, fearing being called a heretic, most predominant Christian Charasmatic leaders keep silent on this issue. A big part of Kingdom Now Theology rests within a major proponent of the Latter Rain Movement, that being The Restoration of All Things. This doctrine is held by many and is the belief that God is currently, since the Azusa Street Outpouring of 1907, restoring gifts to the church. These gifts being: Baptism in The Holy Spirit (Speaking In Tongues), Healing, Prophecy and the Apostolic. The most common thread of Kingdom Theology that is held is before Christ can return, the Church (overcomers) will have dominion (full authority) in all realms and spheres of Government, Business and Socail aspects of life. From that point is where we get the many different worldviews. The why's, how's, who's, when's and where's are what seperate the worldviews. The thing that upsets me the most, is the division that is caused by differing viewpoints. It really shouldn't matter what we believe as long as we believe in the salvation of Jesus Christ. To learn more about Kingdom Now Theology I suggest viewing the following links: Wade Taylor Ministries Ron McGatlin Kelley Varner Ministries Third Day Ministries Van and Gina Tanner Jonas Clark Ministries
I hope that these links will share with you the many different worldviews of the Kingdom Now Theology and will shed light and understanding on a new revelation from the Throne Room of God.

came here via RfC. I tried to tidy it up a bit, and NPOV it some. Hope that helps.Sethie 01:20, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
so, it seems much more neutral to me now.... I will let it sit for a little bit, and unless anyone objects, I will then remove it from RfC. Sethie 23:33, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

- I appreciate your help, but this article is still pretty deplorable. What is lacking is citations to objective sources that document what this "theology" is really all about and verifiable information about it. The only links provided are to those who are clearly opposed to it. I'm not sure the "theology" really exists in the first place, but, if it does, it should be possible to find some neutral analysis of it, including e.g., who its founders or leading advocates are, where they're based, how they advance their message, and how many followers they have? Failing that, we should at least provide links to sites where proponents of the theology present their PoV. I'm sorry I can't fix it myself-am very busy right now and it's not a subject I know much about. --FRS 22:22, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
From a biblical PoV, this article is errant in at least one point of scripture. The Second Book of Thessalonians (Chapter 2, verses 3-8) states that the role of the Church (the obedient) is to resist ever growing apostasy (disobedience), not defeat it.
Post-modernism is apostasy in that it promotes an unregenerate biogeneses (neo-monism) that is diametrically opposed (disobedient) to the regenerate biogenesis (dualism).
This prophecy predicts that there will be a spiritual disobedience so great that the Christ (annionted head) will take the Church out of the struggle, defeat the evil thus revealed, and bring an end to the apostasy.
So, to believe that the Church (the obedient) will rule over this post-modern world is mere jingoism, not Christianity. WWII was a horrible example of apostasy and jingoism, but still not of the order required to fulfill this prophecy, because the Church yet survives. The degenerate biogenesis of National Socialism (monism) was sucessfully resisted.
There's more than one scripture that the Kingdom Now Theology is against. But if you want sources of support for this theology, I understand Pat Robertson supports it, from his 1991 book The New World Order (ISBN 0849933943). There's also the 1982 book The Secret Kingdom (ISBN 0533239287). But the theology has nothing to do with the gifts mentioned above.
And the word causes division. Jesus said that. (I bring a sword, not peace. Matt 10:34)
In general, God doesn't need help ushering in the return of Christ or preparing the world for it.
[edit] Is there any actual scholarship here?
All I see here is proselytizing and poor punctuation. Please do better. 68.174.190.12 (talk) 06:59, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
