[edit] Expanding The article

This article will be expanded as a Saudi Arabian City, in the next 3 hours images will be added, city's sections and major landmarks.

This is a Future city that has not been built yet.

Any comments are welcomed. thanx --Muhaidib 19:52, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Is this eligible to being categorised "Saudi Arabian City"? My issues: a) It doesn't exist at the moment (ie population zero, how can it qualify as a city), b) Isn't it technically part of Rabigh? I think it should be treated as a grand-projet than a city, in the same way as the many industrial/medical/technology cities that have been developed. Just my 2 cents HiJazzey 15:16, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
well yeah I guess you have a point, but let's see what others think of it,, I think it won't hurt to keep it in the template because it is an important project, there are less important cities and their still in the list. let's see what others have to say about it --muhaidib-- (Talk | #info | ) 19:07, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
No problem, Muhaidib. That's fine by me. HiJazzey 13:58, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Done

Aricle is finished, you can add to it if you like

whens it supposed to be finished?

To me, this article reads like one of those assignments that you write during school when you get to 'design your own city'. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the Saudi's are planning a pretty cool city, but this article has far too much hyperbole to be of real use to wikipedia as it is. For starters, a large amount of citations are needed to provide credibility to the assertions made. Secondly, projected estimates should not be asserted as facts ("up to 60,000 professionals are to operate from Financial Island..."). Thirdly, removal of the constant use of superlatives will make the article read less like an advertisement (e.g. "state-of-the-art schools").

I'm not having a go at you - the article is nice-looking and interesting to read so kudos on that; it's just that you are making some pretty bold assertions without true references, and I don't believe wikipedia is the place for it. By all means, prove me wrong and I will not be disappointed because the city is a fascinating concept.--Schrodinger's Cat 10:42, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] City

When will the city actually be built? --81.132.142.165 18:54, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:KingAbdullahEconomicCity.jpg

Image:KingAbdullahEconomicCity.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
