[edit] Rail Transport
Kinwat is a railway station on Mudkhed-Adilabad Meter Gauge Section of Hyderabad(HYB) Division of South Central Railway(SCR). After Divisional adjustments in 2003, which saw the bifurcation of Hyderabad Division, Kinwat now comes under Nanded(NED) Division of SCR. The Mudkhed-Adilabad Meter Gauge Section has since been converted into Broad Gauge.

As of 2001 India census[2], Kinwat had a population of 24,867. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Kinwat has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 57%. In Kinwat, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
