From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Kintetsu Beppu Ropeway (近鉄・別府ロープウェイ Kintetsu Beppu Rōpuwei?) is Japanese aerial lift line in Beppu, Ōita. This is the only line Beppu Ropeway (別府ロープウェイ Beppu Rōpuwei?) operates. As the line name suggests, the company belongs to Kintetsu Group. Opened in 1962, the line climbs Mount Tsurumi (鶴見岳?) near Beppu Onsen hot spring resort. The mountain is most famous as one of the few hard rime sights in Kyūshū. The line operates whole year.
