Kinman Doriana is a fictional character from the Star Wars universe. He was the personal assistant to Palpatine during his reigns as Chancellor and Emperor. Publicly serving the Chancellor, his real allegiance lay with the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Not knowing that they were the same person, he feared Palpatine's wrath were he to learn of his treachery. He was the one who generated the idea of eliminating multiple Jedi Knights through the Outbound Flight Project.

[edit] Outbound Flight

Shortly before the arranged departure of Outbound Flight, the Galactic Senate made several cuts to the project, infuriating the project's head, Jedi Master Jorus C'Baoth. Doriana made the suggestion that the Jedi Master resolve a crisis on an industrial planet to increase the project's popularity. Secretly, Doriana orchestratrated an assassination attempt on the heads of the opposing factions only to have it stopped in the nick of time by C'baoth. Never one to shun glory, C'baoth won the right to Outbound Flight and increased its number of Jedi passengers from one to eighteen.

After the departure, Doriana (under the alias of Stratis) accompanied Vicelord Kav and his Trade Federation Fleet to the Unknown Regions to eliminate the project. There, they were trapped by the Chiss commander Thrawn. Thrawn easily eliminated all but the commanding ship of Doriana's fleet. Realizing this setback provided another way to destroy Outbound Flight, he began to try to convince the alien to help him.

He began by weaving lies about the corruption of the Jedi. Then he told Thrawn about a hostile alien species residing along the ship's path. They had already captured a Jedi named Vergere, and the information provided by Outbound Flight could give them a huge advantage. Following that, he introduced the commander to his master, Darth Sidious. Agreeing to help him, Thrawn prepared for the arrival.

Using an artificial gravity projector, the warlord pulled the ship out of hyperspace. When C'baoth refused to surrender, Thrawn attacked. Then the artificial gravity projector pulled a Vagaari fleet out of hyperspace. The Jedi used the Force to confuse the Vagaari and Thrawn attacked the Vagaari with a combination of Trade Federation Droid Starfighters from space and Droideka that he had managed sneak onto the Vagaari ship. The deaths of the Vagaari minds they were linked to distracted the Jedi while Thrawn attacked and disabled the Outbound Flight ship, killing almost all the Jedi inside. Managing to survive, C'baoth turned to the dark side and attempted to strangle Thrawn. With no other possible alternative, Doriana was forced to divert the attack on the Vagaari and release deadly radiation bombs on the enemy, killing almost all the beings aboard Outbound Flight.

Afterwards, Vicelord Kav gave Doriana a blaster to use to assassinate Thrawn. Doriana did not want to kill Thrawn, realizing that his master could use him later. When he refused to shoot him, Kav attempted to do so himself, but was killed when his bolt bounced off a reversed Droideka shield.

In Vision of the Future, Admiral Voss Parck mentions Doriana's death.
