Kingswood was, from 1974 to 1996, a non-metropolitan district of the County of Avon, England.
It was formed on April 1, 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, by the merger of the Kingswood and Mangotsfield urban districts with Warmley Rural District from the administrative county of Gloucestershire. In 1987 the district was granted borough status. It was merged in 1996 with the district of Northavon to form part of the new unitary South Gloucestershire.
