Kingswood, Kent

Kingswood is a village in the Maidstone District of Kent, England and forms part of the civil parish of Broomfield and Kingswood. The village, constructed in the early 1960's, is situated to the south of the more ancient village of Broomfield. The village has a single village shop come post office and no public house. An annual senior citizen outing is arranged by the parish council and paid for from the village precept.
Famous residents include Aaron Sidwell, Sir Alan Wren[citation needed], Cyclist and Canary Breeder. Mr Robert Shroeder, a local benefactor[citation needed], has done much to improve the village by way of building houses[citation needed], chairing the parish council, looking after public footpaths, providing support for the elderly[citation needed] and providing land for travelling families. His sympathetic refurbishing of old farm buildings to provide accommodation for rural industries has been supported by the local borough council
