The Kingsport Times-News is the daily newspaper of Kingsport, Tennessee.
Its history dates back to 1916 as the Kingsport Times, which began publication the year before the city was incorporated. It began daily publication in 1924.
It was bought by Sandusky Newspapers Inc., of Sandusky, Ohio, in 1962. That company also owns the nearby Johnson City Press as well as a number of other newspapers. [1]
