Kingshott School is an Independent preparatory school in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England. The current headmaster is Paul Ilott, and the school holds around 330 pupils aged four to thirteen.[1][3] In each of the nine years there are two classes each consisting of between 15 and 22 pupils.[5] Kingshott School Trust Ltd is a registered company with a charitable status.[6] The school is set on an 18 acre site which contains a swimming pool, astro turf pitch and tennis courts. The major sports are football, rugby and cricket. [5]

The current fees range from £2450 to £2995 per term, dependant on age.[7]

In year three each pupil is placed into one of four houses. Pupils compete in many different inter-house competitions such as sports, debates and chess.[4]

Named after Robert Falcon Scott, the polar explorer.

At Kingshott, Latin, Maths, Science, French, English, RS, Design Technology, Art, History, Geography and Food Technology are taught in the classroom. Games and PE are also taught by staff. There are many optional other subjects taught, including Greek and Spanish.
