The Kingfield and Dead River Railroad was a 2 ft (610 mm) gauge narrow gauge common carrier railroad in the State of Maine. Although it was a separate company from the Franklin and Megantic Railroad (F&M), it effectively formed an extension of that railroad and was mainly worked using rolling stock from the F&M and Sandy River Railroad. The line closely followed the Carrabassett River upstream from Kingfield. The railroad reached Carrabassett in 1894; and was extended to Bigelow in 1899.
