Kinga Burza
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kinga Burza is a Polish-Australian music video director.
[edit] Biography
Kinga was born in Poland and raised in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. After completing a BA at the University of New South Wales, she went onto postgraduate studies in Theatre and Film at UTS in Sydney.
Whilst studying at university, Kinga made a spec music video for Will Oldham, which caught the eye of Sydney musician Jack Ladder, for whom she started making promos.
This attracted further work in Sydney and in 2006 Kinga decided to move to London, where she was promptly signed up for representation by Partizan.
Since being in the UK, Kinga has shot videos for fellow aussie expat M.Craft, The Thrills, The Rakes, The Teenagers, Calvin Harris and pop starlet Kate Nash.
Promo Magazine recently dubbed Kinga to be among 'the next wave of up-and-coming directors' and featured her work. She was then nominated Best New Director at the CAD Awards in 2007.
