King St Wharf 3 (otherwise known as Darling Harbour King St Wharf 3) is one of the commuter wharves serving the Sydney locality of Darling Harbour in Sydney Australia. Part of the King Street Wharf complex which was built between 1999 and 2000, [1] it is part of the Sydney Ferries network. The wharf is located on the Rydalmere ferry route travelling between Rydalmere and Circular Quay ferry wharves; in peak hours two extra ferries run between Bayview Park wharf and Darling Harbour. There is approximately one service per hour at all times.[2] The wharf has a two jetties used for the docking of ferries.
Under the Walker Report, it was recommended that the King Street ferry wharf be upgraded and established as a Western city ferry hub to lessen ferry congestion at Circular Quay, with fare gates and ticketing introduced. The alternative site is further north at Barangaroo.[3]
